GOP Calls for Resignation of Court Clerk
The Republican Party of a Tennessee county is calling for the resignation of General Sessions Court Clerk Tami Sawyer after a tirade against deputies was caught on tape.
Her disqualifying actions rooted in a history of anti-police rhetoric, erode public trust in our institutions and endanger the men and women who risk their lives daily to protect our communities.
This statement was made by the Shelby County GOP in a release on Thursday. The video of the tirade was shared by Brent Taylor, R-Memphis, and others from Shelby County.
