PW Star Watch 2025 Finalist: Viengsamai Fetters
An associate editor at Erewhon Books, Fetters, who calls speculative fiction their first love, revels in the opportunity to cultivate revolutionary narratives.
Viengsamai Fetters is an Associate Editor at Erewhon Books, doing the work they’ve wanted to do since childhood. Before joining Erewhon in February 2022, Fetters studied English literature at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
Fetters previously worked as a bookseller at Barnes & Noble, where they enjoyed talking to customers and following industry trends.
“There are six stores in Columbus, Ohio, and I helped order books for the cluster,”Fetters says. They note that
“Bookselling is about making connections and understanding what book lovers are looking for, and editing is that from the other side of the desk.”
