Rabale Police Recover Rs 14.70 Lakh Lost in Matrimonial Fraud
The Rabale Police have successfully helped a woman from Airoli recover Rs 14.70 lakh out of the Rs 20 lakh she lost in an online matrimonial scam.
The victim had created a profile on a matrimonial website, where a fraudster posing as an ISRO scientist expressed interest in marrying her.
The fraudster deceived her into transferring large sums of money under various pretexts before vanishing.
After realizing the fraud, the woman approached Rabale Police Station, where a case was promptly registered, demonstrating efficiency and dedication in combating cybercrime.
