Dublin University Sailing Club (DUSC) has become the largest competitive fleet in the Irish University Sailing Association (IUSA) after a successful competition.
On October 11th, 28 DUSC members competed in the Irish University Team Racing Northerns in Rathmullan, Co. Donegal. The club's four teams in the gold fleet achieved impressive results, with placements of 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 6th.
The Trinity 1s team won 1st place after narrowly defeating the Trinity 2s in the semi-finals. This victory enabled DUSC to qualify a fifth team for the next event, solidifying its position as the largest competitive fleet in the IUSA.
Additionally, DUSC competed in the Irish Racing Team Association (ITRA) National Championship at Schull Harbour from October 17th, with three teams representing Trinity. The teams placed 3rd, 7th, and 9th, respectively, out of 19 total teams.
