Centre to Support Mango Farmers Affected by Price Drop
Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited ICAR–KVK Vellore, Tamil Nadu, to address the concerns of mango farmers hit by a price drop due to surplus production.
During his visit, Minister Chouhan assured that all eligible farmers in the state will be linked to the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana for maximum benefit.
Efforts will be made to set up value-addition units to address the price decline caused by surplus mango production.
This initiative is part of his “One Agriculture - One Nation - One Team” program, aiming to support farmers and improve their livelihoods.
