Mexican Authorities Suspect Jalisco Cartel in Mayor's Killing
Mexican authorities suspect that Carlos Manzo Rodriguez, the mayor of Uruapan, was killed by the Jalisco Cartel, according to a new report.
The killing is linked to the capture of a local leader, Rene Belmonte, by police in August. Belmonte was a close subordinate of the Alvarez Ayala brothers, top leaders in the Jalisco Cartel.
