Sudbury Man Charged After Collision
A 20-year-old Sudbury man is facing multiple charges after a two-vehicle collision in Sault Ste. Marie left one person with life-threatening injuries.
According to police, the incident occurred at the intersection of Cathcart Street and Huron Street when a driver failed to stop at a stop sign and struck another vehicle.
- The driver, identified as Denis Leduc, 20, of Sudbury, fled the scene on foot along with the other occupants.
- Officers quickly located all occupants nearby and arrested Leduc at the scene.
- Two people from the other vehicle were taken to the hospital by paramedics with life-threatening injuries.
Police say the accused has a long criminal record despite being only 20 years old.
