Power has been restored to thousands of Hydro One customers in Norfolk County, according to the company's online outage map.

Some Waterford residents reported on social media that power was restored at 4:30 a.m., while some parts of the town had power back on Friday night. Initially, Hydro One's outage site estimated that power would be restored by 8 a.m. to an estimated 16,000 customers.
Hydro One attributed the outage to an equipment failure, but did not provide further details. By Saturday morning, the outage map was clear for Norfolk.
