Jagex Launches Community Vote on RuneScape's Microtransactions
Jagex has launched a major community vote to decide the future of RuneScape's microtransactions.
On October 29th, 2025, Jagex invited players to cast their vote on the future direction of RuneScape, determining whether to remove Treasure Hunter microtransactions from the game.
- Treasure Hunter is the major microtransaction layer for RuneScape.
- Over 220 associated gameplay-benefitting items are included, such as XP Lamps, Proteans, Portables, and Dummies.
If the vote surpasses 100,000 votes, Jagex will remove Treasure Hunter and associated items from sale in RuneScape.
