Astronaut Buzz Aldrin’s Wife Anca Faur Dead at Age 66
Anca Faur, the fourth wife of astronaut Buzz Aldrin, has died at the age of 66 in her sleep, surrounded by her husband and son Vlad Ghenciu.
Aldrin, 95, and Faur’s families announced her death on Facebook, stating that she died “peacefully” with her loved ones by her side.
“I am so fortunate to have found and married the love of my life,” Aldrin said. “She brought joy to everything we did together. I will miss her dearly.”
Faur was an accomplished chemical engineer with a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh, and had a successful career, serving as treasurer for the California Hydrogen Business Council and executive vice president of Buzz Aldrin Ventures LLC.
