As the government shutdown continues, thousands of families relying on federal food assistance are at risk of losing funding for the SNAP program.
Teresa Grado, co-owner of Lilly's Cantina, understands the struggles of putting food on the table. She shared her personal experience, saying
"I fed my son, he ate, every night. But me, on the other hand, didn’t". Grado is taking action to help those in need, offering free meals to children starting Saturday.
Grado's initiative aims to provide meals, such as flautas with rice, chili, or hot dogs, to children in need. Her goal is to
"feed those who are in need".
