Agtonomy Secures $18m to Advance AI in Agricultural Equipment

Agtonomy, a California-based company, has closed an $18 million Series B round to expand its AI software and services for agricultural machinery to the Southeastern US and Australia.

The funding round was led by VC firm DBL Partners, with participation from Nuveen, Autotech, Allison Transmission, Rethink Food, and Black Forest Ventures.

According to Tim Bucher, Agtonomy's cofounder and CEO, the company is bringing "physical AI" to agriculture, partnering with commercial equipment manufacturers and developing software for ag machinery.
