MyForest Foods, a company that grows mycelium-based bacon and pulled pork using solid state fermentation, has launched its products nationwide at Whole Foods Market in the US.
The company's mycelium-based bacon (MyBacon) and pulled pork (MyPulledPork) are now available in over 2,500 locations.
"We are finally de-bottle-necking on supply, and growing like crazy," said cofounder Eben Bayer.
Despite a decline in US retail sales of meat alternatives, MyForest Foods continues to grow, with its products delivering real satisfaction in flavor and texture, according to Bayer.
