President Mahama's Plan for Inclusive Society
President John Mahama has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to creating a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities.
He announced a new initiative to distribute rechargeable motorised wheelchairs and directed all ministries to ensure full compliance with Ghana's Disability Act.
"We intend to introduce a system for distributing rechargeable motorised wheelchairs for persons with disability,"
President Mahama said this while speaking at the launch of the Free Tertiary Education for Persons with Disabilities initiative in Accra.
The new measures are part of his government's broader agenda to remove barriers, promote empowerment, and foster equality for all Ghanaians.
