Football Falls to No. 25 Randolph-Macon
No. 25 Randolph-Macon College's fast start proved too much for Averett University football, resulting in a 77-20 conference road loss.
Randolph-Macon (5-1, 4-0 ODAC) scored its first three touchdowns on the second play of each possession, taking a 21-0 lead with 6:19 left in the first quarter against Averett (0-5, 0-3 ODAC).
Averett's offense eventually scored with a 15-play, 77-yard drive, culminating in a 6-yard touchdown pass from Ethan Ross to Jamahrie Owens.
