Two pedestrians were killed and two hospitalized in a hit-and-run collision in Santa Monica.
The incident occurred on Friday night, with the driver involved fleeing on foot and remaining at large, according to authorities.
Santa Monica Police Department officers responded to the 1300 block of Wilshire Boulevard at 9:15 p.m.
Preliminary information indicates the involved vehicle was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Wilshire Boulevard when it drove onto the sidewalk and struck the four pedestrians.
Two pedestrians were taken to a hospital and are expected to survive, while the names of the two people who died at the scene were not immediately released.
The driver was being sought by police on Saturday.
