Severe Erosion Concerns in Cherry Grove
Recent storms, king tides, and coastal flooding have caused significant erosion along Cherry Grove's coastline, creating large sand formations that threaten nearby condos, homes, and businesses.
Video footage shows the massive erosion formations, with some sections rising taller than people nearby, leaving residents concerned about the proximity of high tide to their properties.
“There needs to be maybe a little bit more protection when these storms come in,”said Cherry Grove homeowner Becky Allen.
The community is worried about the impact of future storms on their properties and the coastline.
