Waterloo Man Arrested for Domestic Incident
A Waterloo man was arrested on Monday for a domestic incident that occurred on November 2.
According to the Waterloo Police, the suspect, Anthony A. Merced, faces charges of:
- Criminal Obstruction of Breathing in the 2nd degree
- Unlawful Imprisonment in the 2nd degree
- Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd degree
The incident allegedly involved Merced pinning a woman to the ground and applying pressure to her throat and mouth to limit her breathing. He then took the victim's vehicle without permission.
Police say the arrest happened on November 3 at approximately 12:31 p.m.
