Melbourne Mum's Group Turns on Member
Emily Mai, a 35-year-old Melbourne-based mum, thought her mums' group was a safe space to open up and share experiences. However, she discovered that explicit images of her were being circulated, and she was being judged by the same women she had trusted.
“Suddenly my mum friends just turned on me,” Mai told news.com.au. “Their kids just can’t be around me because who knows if I’m suddenly going to pop a breast out or something.”
Mai had built a sense of community with the other mums through shared coffees, playdates, and toddler tantrums. But everything changed when they discovered she was a sex worker.
