NC Fisheries: New Reporting Rules
New reporting requirements for certain species of catch will go into effect Dec. 1 for recreational and commercial fishers.
The North Carolina Division of Marine Fisheries is reminding fishers that they must report specific species, including:
- Flounder
- Red drum
- Striped bass
- Spotted seatrout
- Weakfish
Commercial fishermen must also report any finfish, shellfish, and crustacean they keep but do not sell.
