Ontario's Finest Butcher Crowned
Meat and Poultry Ontario recently conducted the finals of Ontario's Finest Butcher contest at its bi-annual Meating Place conference.
The competition, held at the Blue Mountain Conference Centre in Ontario, brought together 13 skilled butchers, narrowing down to three finalists: Sulaiman Hakimi, Rakesh Khadoo, and Dylan Miedema.
Dylan Miedema of Townsend Butchers was crowned Ontario's Finest Butcher for 2025, claiming the title and prize package, including the official black jacket.
Through demanding rounds that tested technique, speed, and artistry, the field was narrowed to three finalists.
