Outbreak of Vomiting and Diarrhea at Daisy Hill Hospital
The Southern Health and Social Care Trust (SHSCT) confirmed that several cases of vomiting and diarrhea have been reported among patients on the fourth and fifth floors of the Newry hospital.
- The two wards are currently closed to new admissions.
- Full infection control measures have been implemented.
- Visiting has been temporarily suspended on both wards to prevent the spread of infection.
A spokesperson for SHSCT said: “These wards remain fully operational, and care and treatment continues to be provided to patients.
