In the Torres Strait, near Badu Island, a group of friends, including Dennis Fay, a former Australian Army soldier, have started a YouTube channel showcasing their spearfishing adventures.
“Because the Torres Strait sits between two large land masses [Australia and Papua New Guinea], it acts like a funnel,”
Dennis says, highlighting the issue of debris, including glass, plastics, and discarded fishing nets, littering the beaches of the 200-island archipelago.
