Sault Area Hospital Faces High Patient Capacity
Sault Area Hospital is experiencing capacity pressures, with over 300 in-patients and a significant number of alternate level of care patients.
"We have consistently greater than 300 in-patients in our facility and we struggle currently with a considerable number of alternate level of care patients,"
According to SAH president and CEO Ila Watson, at the end of September, the hospital housed 79 ALC patients, with 49 waiting for long-term care placements.
