Attack by Israeli Colonists Injures Two Elderly Men

Two elderly Palestinian men were injured in an attack by Israeli colonists near the town of Surif, northwest of Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank.

According to local sources, armed colonists, under the protection of Israeli occupation soldiers, assaulted residents in the Al-Qurainat area, on the outskirts of Surif, injuring Abdullah Ghneimat, 82, and his brother Ibrahim, 72.

The brothers sustained bruises and moderate injuries and were transferred to hospital for treatment. Additionally, the colonists set fire to a vehicle and smashed the windows of two homes in the neighborhood.

Hazem Ghneimat, the mayor of Surif, reported the incident to WAFA, while anti-settlement activist Osama Makhmara stated that colonists also assaulted a peace activist during a raid on a home in the village of Susiya, south of Hebron.

The peace activist suffered bruises as a result of the assault.
