Consumer Watch: What to Know Before Buying a Used Car in Nevada
With car prices rising, more people in the Las Vegas Valley are turning to used cars as an affordable option. However, consumer attorneys warn that a "good deal" can end up costing thousands if not careful.
A local resident, Marie Sepian, shared her recent car-buying experience. She purchased a used 2024 Honda Civic from a small East Las Vegas car lot, thinking she had found a great deal. The car had 13,200 miles on it and looked to be in excellent shape. Sepian asked the dealer if the car had been in an accident, and he claimed there were no accidents.

However, Sepian later discovered that the car had major structural damage, which the dealer had not disclosed.
