Longtime Local TV Reporter Kennie Bass Dies at 62

Kennie Bass, a veteran local television and radio reporter, died Tuesday at age 62 after a battle with cancer.

Bass had a career spanning over 40 years in the Tri-State area, with his longest tenure being at WCHS and its sister station WVAH.

He served as a reporter and host of the station's Friday night football program, and was also known for his "Screen Gems" and "On Stage" features.

He retired from WCHS in January to take a job with U.S.
