Honoring Darren McFadden's Legacy
The Arkansas football team has introduced a No. 5 jersey patch to honor Darren McFadden, a legendary player in the team's history.
The athletics department announced in July that McFadden's number would be honored, but not retired, with a patch featuring his silhouette and initials, D.M.
- The patch is worn by defensive tackle Cam Ball and wide receiver Ja'Kayden Ferguson.
- McFadden, a Doak Walker Award winner and Heisman Trophy runner-up in 2006 and 2007, was honored on the field during the game against Texas A&M.
“It's a conversation piece,”
said McFadden.
