A34 Updates: Huge 98-Metre-Long Wide Load in North Staffordshire
Police have been drafted in as an abnormal load passes through North Staffordshire.
The load is currently paused at The Harvester near Trentham to allow traffic to clear and will resume its journey towards Newcastle at 12:25hrs on the A34.
- It will then rejoin the A34 at Sainsbury's.
- Police say it has now cleared Stafford and is on its way to Stone.
- The load will go 'contraflow' after Walton island and then onto Darlaston where it will rejoin the correct side as it heads to Newcastle.
Please adjust your route if travelling through Stone, Newcastle, Butt Lane and try to be courteous and understanding as the load makes its way to Cheshire.
