Germany has pledged over $2 billion in military aid to Ukraine, in response to Kyiv's defence needs amidst ongoing Russian aggression.
The aid package, which includes a $500 million procurement of U.S. weapons, aims to address Ukraine's urgent needs, such as air defence systems and precision-guided artillery.
Germany will also supply two Iris-T air defence systems, guided missiles, and other military equipment, including anti-tank weapons and communication devices.
Other countries, such as Estonia, Finland, Lithuania, and Sweden, plan to participate in this funding initiative, which is expected to meet Ukraine's estimated $120 billion in defence needs for 2026.
