Wuhan Open: Prize Money and Points for Sabalenka and Paolini
Aryna Sabalenka's bid for a fourth consecutive Wuhan Open title ended in the semi-finals.
Sabalenka lost to Jessica Pegula with a score of 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-2), despite having a 20-0 record at the tournament and an 8-2 lead in their head-to-head matches.
Jasmine Paolini's campaign also ended in the semi-finals, losing to Coco Gauff with a score of 6-4, 6-3, after causing an upset in the quarter-finals by defeating Iga Swiatek.
Sabalenka's loss marked her first defeat at the Wuhan Open since the 2023 WTA Finals.
